  • I have used Marquise Equine Nutrition to help me get my two geldings back to a healthier lifestyle and diet. Both horses were starting to get too heavy and Amber was very responsive in scheduling consults and gave a thorough plan. I implemented the plan and both horses started shedding the lbs and feeling better. I would highly recommend Marquise to any equine owner trying to decipher and feed their horses the best nutritional support they can offer. -Anne

  • I came to Marquise Equine Nutrition for help with my PSSM1/PSSM2 gelding. I had done everything I thought I knew to do for a PSSM1 horse but was still struggling getting him comfortable in his body. Amber was so helpful in adjusting a few things in his diet to get him back to feeling better than he has felt in a long time. -Tayler

  • Working with Amber was the best thing I could’ve done for Gracie. Trying to get weight on her was a struggle for me, but after working with Amber she looks amazing. Her instructions were easy to follow and the feed plan was affordable. I couldn’t be more happy with the results Gracie has achieved! -Lauren

  • I'm so thankful for Amber's help. She helped get my horse through one of the worst health scares of his life. She is literally a lifesaver. Without her help, I don't think my boy would still be here. Now he's back to his normal sassy, ornery, thriving self! -Nickie

  • Amber helped adjust the feeding and intake for my two very different, yet very easy-keeper horses. Beau (Haffie cross) and Twigs (Aabian) have both respectively trimmed down a bit and are so-far, successfully maintaining their current weight under Amber's program. Beau has gotten so healthy, compared to a year ago when we purchased him.... (his hooves were a mess and shattered, and dull hair coat) and he has transformed into proper weight and has dapples. Dapples are quite often the result of optimal nutrition I have learned. His hooves are consistent in growth and solidity. Twigs is not so stressed about her food or access, and will meter herself, on her own, yet is keeping the weight under control. -Lynne

  • Thank you for fixing my horse's winter issues! -Helen

  • Oh my goodness. If you have a horse, please do yourself a favor of contacting Amber. She’s an equine nutritionist wrapped in a big bubble of clever ideas and pure knowledge. Did I mention she’s also a woman who contributes greatly to the success of her family AND is an author of a published book?! If I were my horses, I would be alert and calm enough to kiss me for listening to the right someone who made me stop feeling so lousy. -Elola

  • I am a Certified Equine Sports Massage and Rehabilitation therapist, and I have ridden horses since before I could walk. I have been competing in endurance for 23 years. The sport of endurance tends to force you to learn about nutrition, hydration, electrolytes, musculature and more in order for you and your horse to survive the rigors of the long miles required in the sport. However, seeing Amber’s knowledge as she revamped my feeding program made me realize just how much I didn’t know. Amber and I have been friends for almost 19 years and our friendship was forged by a mutual love of horses. I have a 20 year old Arabian gelding who is my competition horse, and until recently I had an aged TB gelding named Beau who perpetuated the typical TB stereotype of being a hard keeper. He was diagnosed with cushings at age 26. Amber had seen me struggling with his weight, skin infections, general decline and asked if she could evaluate his feeding program. She made suggestions based on his age, health issues, bcs, workload, and pasture quality. This is a horse who was already on a quality senior feed and supplements, but her recommendations and changes to his feed program made a huge difference. His previously dull coat was shiny, his constant skin infections were gone, he was gaining weight, his topline was improving, and best of all, at 29 years young, you could tell he felt better than he had in a very long time. Amber was constantly using my feedback and evaluating him personally to ensure we were on the right track and make changes if necessary. Sadly, I lost him to colic recently, but I am forever thankful that his last year was truly his best in a large part because of Amber’s help with his nutrition. Amber has a true passion for helping horses, and that combined with her nutrition knowledge is an asset for all horses as well as their owners. -Theresa

  • Amber Massey is the person I’ve always looked to for advice on how to care for my horses, and I’ve been privileged to grow with the same two geldings since I was 12 years old. During my 22 years with Pacer and Gem, Amber has been there for the majority of that time, ready and willing to share her thoughts when I seek her counsel. She has guided me through various challenges with my horses ranging from Pacer’s PPID diagnosis, parasite management, maintaining Gem after he outlived his teeth and clearing up Pacer’s GI issues. Amber’s pursuit of being better for horses has always inspired me, and I even owe her for educating me on hoof care which eventually led to my career as a farrier. She has walked with me through so many seasons, patiently offering her knowledge and support. I now have the confidence that I’m pursuing the best care not only for my own horses, but also for the horses I encounter on a daily basis as a hoof care provider. -Erin
