Amber H. Massey BSc, MA, PAS, ENA is an Equine Nutrition Advisor using science to help horses feel, perform and look their best. Her clients range from senior and metabolic pasture pets to high-level athletes, and her desire to support them all begins with the conviction that all horses deserve the chance to experience excellent nutrition.
Passionate about educating horse owners and helping them sort through everyday decisions regarding feed, supplement and hay choices, Amber’s areas of expertise include classes, workshops, individual and full-barn consultations and hay testing and analysis interpretation.
Amber is an avid trail rider, at-home horse owner and author of For the Love of Horses: Everyday Lessons from Life in the Saddle (Harvest House, 2014). Amber and her husband, Jeff, live in upstate South Carolina with their three dogs, four goats and one horse, Ameer.
A word from Amber…
“I’ve been passionate about horses my whole life, raised a barn full of Breyers in a barn built by my Dad, and as an adult, rolled coins to buy my first horse, Marquise.
Through the years I’ve learned that horse ownership is more than a gorgeous fall ride in the woods or a blue ribbon on the shelf. Sometimes it’s an accident, a colic or a nutritional need not being met.
My desire to provide the best nutrition possible for my own horses was the beginning of my quest for knowledge and answers. Following the science, I have invested myself, my time and sometimes my sanity studying equine nutrition and applying it in a way that helps horses feel, perform and look their very best..
The inclusion of Legacy Equine Nutrition’s certification program in my studies has been a game changer as it relates to the management of my own horses as well as client horses. Dr Rachel Mottet, PhD and Equine Nutritionist, has built a structured, solid, and proven program that meets nutritional needs, addresses performance goals and provides peace of mind that comes from knowing you have done your very best.
I am proud and blessed to offer this same non-biased, science-based approach to nutrition to my own clients.
Becoming a Legacy Equine Certified Equine Nutrition Advisor, a Professional Animal Scientist specializing in horses and a Certified Equine Nutrition Instructor through A Stable Connection has helped me find my diamond in the rough. Now, let me help you find yours!”

HAVE QUESTIONS? I’M HERE TO HELP.
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you,
or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;
or speak to the earth, and it will teach you,
or let the fish in the sea inform you.
Which of all these does not know
that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.”
