Body Condition Scoring & What it Means for Choosing the Right Feed

Learning how to correctly body condition score your horse and interpret the results is the first step toward building a great nutrition plan.

In Session 1 you will learn what body condition scoring is, why it matters for your horse, how to correctly perform it and what the results mean for disease risk and foundational meal planning.

From there we will discuss the three basic categories of commercial feeds and how to choose the right feed for your horse based on body condition, life stage and workload.

You will walk away with knowledge that you can implement immediately on your own farm as well as some useful handouts to keep you on track.

$60 per person. Light refreshments will be provided.

Pre-registration is required at www.helmshillfarms.com or email helmshillfarms@gmail.com
